Our First and Second Year Basketball teams both donned the school colours this week for their first taste of competitive schools basketball. Both teams travelled to Mullagh on Thursday where they faced Virginia College. It proved to be a successful trip to Cavan with both our teams securing their first win in their respective fixtures. The teams also played their second fixture against St. Mary’s, Dundalk on Friday. In what turned out to be a fantastic display of basketball both sides got the upper hand over their opponents and in doing so secured a place in the Regional Semi-Finals
Results – First Year – St. Pat’s 28-27 Virginia College, St. Pat’s 56-15 St. Mary’s, Dundalk
Second Year – St. Pat’s 49-21 Virginia College, St. Pat’s 52-10 St. Mary’s, Dundalk
