1st ,2nd, TY and 5th Year School Christmas Report 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The 2021 Christmas Reports for 1st, 2nd, TY and 5th Year are now available to view on VSware.

Unfortunately, VSware are still experiencing a number of system errors due to a recent software update.
A parent can view the report in VSware but cannot download and print the full, comprehensive report correctly yet
VSware are continuing to work to fix the issue. This is an issue across the VSware platform and not just in our school.

First year and Second year grades are based on the system of continuous assessment.
Students have received regular common testing in each subject since September.

The use of Junior Cycle descriptors are the recommended practice rather than the use of % value when reporting on student achievement in the Junior Cycle programme.
A guide to the descriptor value can be found attached to this message.

In the fifth year report the % grade may be written as a decimal point e.g. 69.00 which should correctly be read as 69%.
This is another ongoing issue with VSware.

The most convenient way to view your son’s Christmas Report is to select the VSware option on the school app dashboard. (See picture below

How to view you son’s report In the parent VSware dashboard;

1. Select your son’s name from the ‘Your Children’ dropdown tab.

2. Select the ‘Assessment ‘icon.

3. Select ‘Learn more’ drop down option

4. Select the ‘Term Assessment ‘ option

5. Click ‘learn more’

6. Select the’ 2021 Christmas Report’.

Instructional photos are attached to this message to demonstrate how to locate, view your son’s report on VSware.

Please contact the school office at office@stpatsc.com if you have any queries regarding your son’s report.

Kind regards,

School Management
