Five TY students went down to St. Marys on Thursday 21st really enjoyed the experience at the Cúltúr Anti- Racism day. There were people from all nationalities and races in attendance. There were talks from people who spoke about their personal experiences with racism, such as a DKIT lecturer, Dr. Colleta Dalikeni. They also got talks from Garda Frank Scully, who is the Ethnic Minority Liaison Officer, Matt Carty, an MEP and Sinn Fein TD, Ken McCue who is a member of Sport Against Racism Ireland (SARI) and one of the founders of Hijabs and Hat tricks. They also had a talk from Sandra Monaghan, who was one of the people who gave the TY’s a workshop in school previous to the event.
