Former St. Pats teacher Ray Mooney passes away

It is with great sadness that we note the death has occurred of former St. Pat’s teacher and great Skryne GAA clubman Ray Mooney. Ray sadly passed away on Tuesday after a long illness.

Mr Ray Mooney (formerly of Skryne) and St Patrick’s Classical School, died peacefully at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan. Dear brother of Gabriel and Tom (Tex). Sadly missed by his family, sisters-in-law Cathy and Ann, niece Anita, nephews David, Tommy, Peter and Douglas, relatives and his many dear friends and colleagues in St Patrick’s School.

Ray’s love of GAA extended to St. Pat’s CS as well as his home club of Skryne and he can be seen here along with P.J. McAuley and Michelle Lavelle of the St. Patrick’s Classical School JF Team Management ahead of the St. Patrick’s Classical School, Navan v St. Joseph’s, Rochfortbridge – North Leinster Schools JFC “A” Final at Dunganny in January 2012.
