On Wednesday October 12th the two first year football teams made a journey to the recently opened National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown, Co. Dublin.
The group of forty or so players was split into two very strong panels and this was clear throughout the day. Both teams faced no real challenge throughout the day and this was clear to see from the results with both teams winning three games out of three. Overall the day was used to try players in all positions and most importantly to get all the boys out on the pitch. It was good to see all the players enjoying themselves on the pitch and hopefully these results will continue throughout the rest of the season for these very promising first year teams.
