Athletics @ St. Patrick’s Classical School

The school has an active Athletics Club that currently trains three times weekly under the tutelage of teacher, Mr. Ronan Moore; Mr. Stephen Cregg; Ms. Aisling McAuliffe.

Training Times:

  • Monday: Lunch-time
  • Tuesday: Lunch-time
  • Thursday: Lunch-time

Training also takes place at various times on school holidays at the Porchfields, Trim. Times for this can change.

Athletes of all ages and levels are welcome making it a good activity for those wanting to learn or improve their running skills as well as those looking to get fit and meet new friends.

The school has invested in a wide-range of athletics equipment and facilities that cater for an array of disciplines such as cross-country, hurdles, high jump and javelin.

The school tries as much as possible to bring all those who participate in the club to cross-country and track and field meets during the academic year with the cross-country season running from August until March and the track and field season from March to May.

Students are categorized by age for events with Minors being U-14; Juniors U-15; Inters U-17 and Seniors U-19.
