Athletics @ St. Patrick’s Classical School

The school has an active Athletics Club that currently trains three times weekly under the tutelage of teacher, Mr. Ronan Moore.

Training Times:

  • Monday: Lunch-time
  • Wednesday: Directly after school at the Claremont Stadium Track, Navan
  • Friday: Lunch-time

Training also takes place at various times on school holidays at the Hill of Tara. Times for this can change.

Athletes of all ages and levels are welcome making it a good activity for those wanting to learn or improve their running skills as well as those looking to get fit and meet new friends.

The school has invested in a wide-range of athletics equipment and facilities that cater for an array of disciplines such as cross-country, hurdles, high jump and javelin.

The school tries as much as possible to bring all those who participate in the club to cross-country and track and field meets during the academic year with the cross-country season running from August until March and the track and field season from March to May.

Students are categorized by age for events with Minors being U-14; Juniors U-15; Inters U-17 and Seniors U-19.
